Samaritan has been a designated Cymela model name since .
Cymela publishes its language models under the Monarch line, and a model's name is the line, then the class, then the version. That is how the current research checkpoint is Monarch Chrysalis 1.
Samaritan is a class name, in the same slot Chrysalis occupies. A model under it would be Monarch Samaritan, numbered from 1, and the class carries as many versions as it needs: Monarch Samaritan 1, then 2, and so on.
What the designation adds is rank. Samaritan is the senior class, above Chrysalis and above Hyper v1, the earlier checkpoint that predates the line name. That is what the name means. Everything else about it is undisclosed.
What did not come from us.
Any description of Samaritan attributed to Cymela, anywhere other than this page, did not come from Cymela. We have published no architecture, parameter count, benchmark, capability claim or release date under this designation. Anything of that kind in circulation is not ours, however confidently it is stated.
